Meet Pradeep(A True Friend and Angel)

My friend had come back from an out of town family wedding and we decided to meet since he has the “work from home,

“which means he takes calls and has to have a proper working area and charging space for his laptop."

Cafe Coffee day was our meeting spot and while he was working I was staring at a menu deciding if I should order hot coffee or cold-rough job, but someone has to do it-lol

Pradeep is truly a wonderful person and I loved sitting with him and learning more about him. I shared my concerns for the NGOs and he was quick to brainstorm with me and offer solutions. He is very sincere in everything he says and says that he would help more but he has 20k plus in expenses per month because he has 2 children and he is married. For some reason this information comes late with every man I have met  so far… but his news is so heartbreaking. His 5 year old child has special needs-he cannot speak or walk. He does not even know when his parents are near him, but he smiles sometimes. He has seizures that make him cry and scream throughout the night causing him and his wife to have many sleepless nights. He had some people tell him that he should just give his child to an orphanage and we both are in disbelief with these people who say this… I can see his dedication like all the amazing parents that I worked with over the years who loved their children no matter what and they would do anything for their child-the most beautiful parents are the ones who have a special needs child and just love them unconditionally and do their best everyday

We just have this conversation that is so easy and carefree. He is always educating me on the Indian system or new facts about India. He is a great listener and educator. He would like to visit the NGO to do teaching lessons despite his situation that is so challenging-so humble and never one complaint at all.

He tells me about companies are mandated to work with a non-profit and we can help build these connections for my friend. He says this while he is working and taking calls. He is busy, but clearly makes time. It is a delightful time with him and then I go home to take a shower and meet my other friend.

It was my father who always had "friends." My mother and father got divorced when I was three years old and I would visit him each summer....Each summer there were new friends. He called everyone, "His friend" and he had countless friends amongst my many summer visits. It is my mother and father that build connections so easily with people that create me.....

PRISCILLA who has friends everywhere she goes....so many that I cannot even keep up with contact with everyone...

If you get tired of reading about "my friends." Don't blame me, blame my genes- my parents:)
