Swami G and Us
Sharda and I wanted to take Little Miss India to see the birds and boy there were birds! I had no idea on how many different types were in this one place.
Swami G was really impressive with his ashram there and his name was on everything whether it was a glass stone, a book, a stamp, a crystal…this man was so peaceful and so amazing creating all kinds of Guiness book world records for the most stamps and the most Bonsai trees in the world.
It was really so impressive and such a peaceful place. The birds were mostly from South America some living for 50 to 100 years, from Mexico, parrots and malocas of all different colors. You just walk and hear birds surrounding you and look at them from cage to cage..
Gaya was so cute going from cage to cage trying to talk to every bird. There ended up being a few birds that talked and she was just so happy…She had wanted to visit this bird park for almost 4 months so I was really happy we went together. I paid for a few things for all of us…and I asked if she wanted to do the professional photo with the parrot. I felt like a mother treating her kids out for the day- well 40 is motherhood time.
We then went to the 4th floor museum, which was extremely impressive from crystal to petrified rocks, to stamps, coins, instruments, and just everything had some meaning behind it.. 18 chapters of a book that involved the ashram and beliefs… The Bonsai garden was fantastic and we just enjoyed one anothers company so much….we then went back to her mother's house who had amazing onion roti and it was incredible! She said that people come from all over to eat her mother's onion roti and I definitely believed it. She also made dal, chutney, and made me a small dosa. She kept offering me food and would ask how I liked everything....heart melted and I will almost never decline homemade food that is made from the heart...the taste and the flavor is like some kind of spiritually delicious experience.
I wanted to buy something special for her mother, but Sharda said she cannot eat most food....I thought she meant that she doesn't like sweets, which some households avoid sugar...but this was not the case. It was much more extreme.
For 7 months she had cancer of the mouth and she could barely swallow food..Sharda said to eat a full chapati it would take over an hour…she could not even enjoy anything yet she was smiling brighter than anyone and she was incredibly selfless.
The best people have the smaller bank accounts and the bigger hearts
She said I can come for breakfast the next day and she could even pack the food in a box for me…the kindness blew my mind or heart away…
Gaya was so cute as she always wanted to be near me and she kindly asked if I could stay in her home…
At the house, Gaya was following her grandmother making her own roti and had plastic gloves on to be sanitary. She had the roller out and she was making a small roti for herself. She loved to be safe and wash her hands…. The lights went out and she was crying because she could not wash her hands. That sounds like a mini Priscilla LOL
We went outside to have chai and realized the whole street was out of lights and the tea place just had candle light and some random people there in the back… The lights were going on and off, I was tired and had to get the box back home. Gyatri finished her Kulfi and I took an Auto back to the house where I organized the kitchen and set up the dish rack….I bought Satish a dish rack to help get him organized and wrote a cute note, “Sometimes we all have a little muck in our life.”
It was an inside joke between us and he loved the kind gesture.
