A Festival Day

Off to the Serendipity Arts festival after taking a day off and I had an amazing coffee from the plantations in Mangalore…

Coffee Video

I saw an Iranian play with the theme being about female empowerment to speak up about domestic issues i.e. rape and how to not let your voice be silenced by society.

Watched another film on agriculture and it really was beautiful the passion that the farmers have who spoke after the film about their experience and we got to try some great local farm fresh foods. They did this everyday 3 times a day with the food films-it was called the “food lab.”  I saw another exhibit on Climate change, which was not my favorite, but it was ok.

At the end of the day, it was time to take a break and then head out to the concert venues so I went back to Nagandi hills by shuttle. The shuttle driver was blasting Bollywood music as picked up 3 girls along with myself…being the single person you always can get the front seat, which I love, but in this scenario I was about to be sick with the insane amount of breaking.

“Smile and break.” “Smile and break.”  In my head I was saying Basta! Enough

Another fantastic night of music and I took the shuttle back to the main bridge, which was the bridge I crossed so many times to go back to my accommodation.

By the end of all my time in Goa, it was like 30 times over that bridge with the casino ships on the water and the bridge would light up in different colors: purple to red to green to blue...colors lighting up as buses, cars, and bikes all over the Mondovi river.....
